Electric Soul presents a Fender Custom Shop ’60 Telecaster Custom. This is a 2022 example in classic black, with a rosewood fingerboard and light binding around both sides of the body. This detail adds a little extra style to the simple, raw Telecaster design.

The guitar also features subtle but beautiful aging of the nitrocellulose finish. This type of lacquer naturally develops small cracks over time. In the Closet Classic version, Fender recreates this effect at the factory, giving the finish a fine network of cracks. The slightly aged hardware completes the look. It has the feel of an old Fender, with a strong vintage character and plenty of classic elegance.

The guitar features a selected two-piece alder body, a maple neck with a ’60 Style Oval C profile, and a slab rosewood fingerboard. The vintage design is combined with a few modern comfort features: 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets and a compound radius from 7.25 to 9.5 inches. The rounder fingerboard at the lower frets is great for playing chords, while the flatter radius higher up makes string bending easier.

This example also has two interesting upgrades: high-quality ObsidianWire electronics and Lollar Special T pickups. This set delivers the classic Telecaster sound we expect, with a little extra bite.

The guitar is in very good condition, with minor signs of use. Given the factory aging, these are hardly noticeable. Technically, everything is in excellent order, and the frets are in great condition.
