Electric Soul presents the PRS SE McCarty 594 Double Cut. This is a 2023 model in an attractive Black Gold Burst finish, highlighting the flame maple top. It is a very successful combination of classic guitar design and PRS’s distinctive looks and comfortable playability.

The model is named after Ted McCarty, the legendary head of Gibson during its golden era, who helped develop and popularize iconic designs such as the Les Paul and ES-335. Paul Reed Smith learned from his knowledge and experience over the years, and the McCarty series pays tribute to his legacy. The number “594” refers to the 24.594-inch scale length, inspired by classic Gibson designs and known for its comfortable feel.

The Gibson influence can also be seen in the other features. The guitar has a mahogany body with a maple top and decorative flame maple veneer, along with two 58/15 LT “S” humbuckers offering a warm, clear, vintage-style sound. Two volume controls and two tone controls allow independent adjustment of each pickup, while the push-pull function lets you split the coils. This provides a classic foundation with additional options for lighter, brighter tones.

The mahogany neck has a Pattern Vintage profile inspired by the fuller necks of the 1950s. It is paired with a rosewood fingerboard featuring PRS’s distinctive bird inlays. The double-cutaway body provides easy access to the higher frets. This guitar is ideal for players who appreciate a traditional sound and feel but also value comfort and versatility.

The guitar is in very good, almost mint condition. There are only minimal cosmetic signs of use, with no visible signs of wear. It looks very fresh, is properly set up, and is ready to play.
