Description
Electric Soul presents a Gibson JG-0 acoustic guitar – a rather rare model made for a short time between 1970 and 1972. It is a western-style dreadnought with a square shoulder body, from the period when Gibson’s factory was still located in Kalamazoo.
The instrument is over 50 years old and had a major restoration in the past. The frets and the fingerboard were replaced (the fingerboard is now ebony), and the guitar was most likely refinished with a clear coat. In terms of playability and setup, the guitar is fully functional and does not require any additional investment.
These modifications are reflected in the attractive price for a vintage instrument. It is a good option for someone looking for a great-playing, stylish acoustic guitar with history, rather than a fully original collector’s piece.
The guitar is made entirely of solid wood. It has a spruce top, mahogany body, and a three-piece neck with the characteristic heel shape typical for that era. The yellowed finish and visible signs of use give it a strong vintage character.
A modern original Gibson hard case is included.
