Description
Electric Soul presents a Gibson J-55 acoustic guitar in Natural finish.
This instrument was made in 1973, so it is now more than 50 years old. The guitar comes from the famous Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, the historic plant with the brick chimney where many of the most respected Gibson guitars were built. If you are looking for an instrument with real history, this very classic model is worth considering. It is a great-sounding American acoustic guitar and also a solid investment.
The J-55 is a classic square-shoulder dreadnought with a true western vibe. The guitar is made entirely from solid wood: a spruce top, mahogany back and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. A characteristic feature of this model is the large folk-style pickguard and tortoise binding, which give the guitar a slightly luxurious look.
The guitar shows some normal signs of use and age, such as small scratches, dents, and checking in the finish, but these are only cosmetic and add to the vintage character. Technically everything works perfectly. The guitar has never had any major repairs such as a headstock break. The frets are original and were leveled in the past, but they are still in good condition and do not need work now.
An additional advantage of this guitar is the installed L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system — a professional amplification system with a microphone inside the body. It is currently one of the top and completely non-invasive solutions for amplifying acoustic guitars.
The case shown in the photos is included.
